Quality controls ensure that Clean Fire is one of the cleanest burning pellets available in the market. A blend of clean hardwood shavings and chips forms this product. Then a small amount of softwood is added to ensure a consistently energy-dense product. Fines are carefully screened before packaging and the resulting pellets typically run at about 0.5% ash, meaning half the cleanings that would be required with some other "Premium" pellets.
I got these pellets 3 tons for my Harmon p43. Good heat more ash than I'm used to and the glass gets all gummed up.good heat but more dirty than say ligetics which are premo.linetics are pricy but great.

Pros: Low ash
Cons:I agree with the earlier post, the pellets do not break up on the burn pot and ends up eventually blocking the air flow. You need to pay extra attention to clear it out every day so the stove will still work. Glass gets dirty faster.
My Stove: Lennox Traditions T300-P, I clean my stove 1 to 2 times a week.
The heat output seems to be OK. My only gripe is that when burned the pellets do not break down into a fine aash and drop down into the ash pit as other pellets I've used have done. The burned pellets look like clinkers, but they are not. After burning all night I have to be careful opening my stove because hot ash buildup is right against the door. Yes, I keep my stove clean per manufactureres instructions. I have a England Stove Works 25-PDV. Despite the name, is is American made.
My Cleanfire pellets during the 2010-2011 season were great. Ordered them in the spring for 2011-2012, not so good! Considerably more ash and much filthier glass. Not sure about their consistency, I may need to locate another type.
OK heat low ash but my window gets a gummy like build up more than other brands I have used.
Good heat, low ash & low amount of fines or dust.
A little pricey.
No issues with clinkers or extreme amounts of ash.

Hard to believe how little ash is produced by these pellets. This is the third variety we've tried since owning a pellet stove. All were advertised as "low ash." We burn a whole 40 pound bag and there's literally about a handful or two of ash left. They produce a fair amount of heat, too. A little pricey, but I'd say well worth it.
