these pellets are unburnable. they shut my country flame heater down due to it not sensing proper heat. The air has to be wide open to burn them at all the ash is far higher, 5 or 6 times that of other pellets that meet their quality claims. As for heat, these must be burned at a 3 of 5 setting to not have the stove shut down, and put the comparable heat out that somerset achieved on a setting of 1. They are terrible pellets, period.
To the person that left the last post I left the one before that I have the cab50 heatilator and it burns these pellets really good. DO you have a cold air intake that helps out a lot. I'm in Muskegon Mi and burned a local pellet called NRG do not burn this pellet so much sand will not run for more than 4 hours before filling burn pot up.
I'm running a Heatilator PS50 and have not had good experience with these pellets. They produce lots of ash, requiring daily cleaning, and produce large clinkers, large enough that after about 50 lbs, they are about 2 inches thick and about 4 inches in diameter, causing misfires. I'm looking for a good pellet that is available in the thumb of Michigan.
Not a bad pellet heat is pretty good I got a ton for 175 bucks so dont have much bad to say about them. I have a heatilator pellet stove and they burn them really good and is easy to clean about 5 min of my time so a little ash is not a big deal to me.
These wood pellets are terrible compared to other manufacturers. There is way to much ash created by the pellets. I went from cleaning my stove every 4 days with another brand of pellets to cleaning it everyday with Michigan Wood Pellet Fuel brand. I am glad to support local business in Michigan when I can but this is a perfect example of poor quality and I will never buy this brand again.
Thats because your supplier is giving you what they call a "dirty" product. many dealers are selling this type of pellet, with bark, bad wood, and other things in it.
Give William Heise a call. He owns Williams wood and deals with a pure woood product that is clean and rated as Premium. It alxo has a much higher BTU per bag thn most of the egular products out there.
