Platinum Fire Pellets claim they are a Super Premium Wood Pellet.

Platinum Fire super premium softwood pellets manufactured by Confluence Energy from Kremmling, Colorado. This product is a 100% softwood pellet. These wood pellets are made from a 20 year supply of Lodgepole Pine tree trunks with no additives.

Platinum Fire Pellets meets or exceeds proposed industry standards for a super premium pellet. These standards require a high level of btus while producing less than .5% of fines and an ash content of less than .5%. Platinum Fire has tested to a dry basis btu in excess of 8500 while producing .34% ash and .29% fines.

2010 wood pellet burning season -

I'm still waiting and hoping that there a few mills out here on the East Coast that can prove me wrong!! No matter how many times I burn Softwood pellets, I find that the closer you get to the west coast, the better the pellets. I have been hard pressed to find better softwood pellets than those from West; ie, Oregon (WOW & Atlas), BC (Okanagan), etc. An now we have, Platinum fire's from Colorado (ok 1/2 way to the west coast, chill out). Anyway, These are very good pellets and you will not go wrong to have a few of these bags handy for the really cold nights. Get them blazing and you'll be very happy with the ash and heat output. Thumbs up. I wish I had a ton for January - Buy Them if your a softwood pellet fan!!!

2011 fall pellet burning-

This year the bag that I received in the mail burned better than I remember them doing last year. The heat output was exceptional, ash level was OK (very light and fluffy w/ 0 clinkers), and if you are the type that like a stronger smelling pellet, then these pellets are for you. I would say that these are a great "dead of winter" pellet where you want your stove to heat up fast and really crank out the heat quickly. I was also impressed with the density of the pellets this year. They were as hard as any great hardwood pellet producing next to nothing in fines.

I can get these for 219 a ton right now or I can get somerset hardwood for the same price right now not sure what pellet I should get I'm burning michigan wood pellet right now not very happy with them.

Please Keep In Mind the Following;

1. Include the make and or model of stove.
2. Over exaggerated and over the top comments will be deleted.
3. Try to be as objective as possible along with considering the fact that you may not have cleaned your stove in years.
4. If you do not practice, at least, monthly cleaning then please don't bother leaving any feedback. Your comments are worthless.
